    Default volunteers wanted to generate EPG data

    We are looking for volunteers to assist with generating EPG data for different providers for the new image.

    Currently I generate the Satmate Sky UK and Sky IT files (currently combined) automatically from my DM800, it then zips them and uploads them onto the server.

    The volunteers must be able to install CrossEPG onto their satellite boxes, be able to FTP to it, must be connected to the internet, be able to create cron jobs to run daily and have their boxes running 24/7.

    Users must be trustworthly, reliable and know their way around their box.

    As my main provider is Sky UK we will need a dedicated Sky IT user also.

    Please reply below with what service provider you may able to create and whether you can meet the criteria above.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Why not just use Rytec plugin to do it?

    Or better why not contact Rytec to be involved in the new image?
    He was parcipating in the old BH, and EPG was working great!

    And also good support from him an all his team...

    I believe, if DE want the best image he needs to have the best Team, and I believe Rytec is one of the better for EPG data.

    I am not Rytec friend but I appreciate the great work he done until today.

    Yep Rytec epg is very good and it contain many providers but satmate is one of the most complete and update for the SkyIt and especially SkyUk
    but obviously this is matter of preference and more ppl generate epg the more choice we as users have like they say here 2 e meglio che one

    Hi Mobisat®!
    For ex-USSR channels (Ukraine, Russian and othet) You can use my epg.dat file http://linux-sat.tv/epg/epg.dat.gz
    I'm updating it every Monday.
    If Dream Elite Team plans use Grossepg plugins, You can add these file linuxsat_exussr_xmltv.conf to the providers

    description=Linuxsat ExUSSR XMLTV
    protocol=xmltv
    channels=http://linux-sat.tv/epg/ls.channels.xml.gz
    url=http://linux-sat.tv/epg/tvprogram_ua_ru.gz
    preferred_language=eng

    I'm Pleased to report that I have been lucky enough to have got Rytec Team envolved in this project and as of 09MAR2011 JSTV1 and JSTV2 epg will live through Rytec UK Download package and Rytec OSN Download package. Available through Rytec xmltv import plugin or crossepg plugin. Once again Thank you Ryan and especially Willy of the Rytec Team.
