    oki i ise dvbsnoop default included in de image for dm7080 (dvbsnoopDE.zip) and use this sequence for loging:

    /usr/bin/dvbsnoop -b -N 1000000 0x02BC > /media/hdd/logy/emmlog.bin

    variables:
    -b: binary output of packets (disables other output)
    -N count: decode max. <count> packets (0=no limit) [-N 0] this will limit -n, e.g. when using soft filters.

    and pid :
    for this test is used ORF1 HD cryptoworks pid 0D05:

    *EMM: CaID: 0x0D95 -> CaPID: 0x02BD ProvID: 000000
    EMM: CaID: 0x0D05 -> CaPID: 0x02BC ProvID: 000000
    EMM: CaID: 0x0648 -> CaPID: 0x0258 ProvID: 000000
    EMM: CaID: 0x0D98 -> CaPID: 0x02BE ProvID: 000000
    EMM: CaID: 0x0650 -> CaPID: 0x0259 ProvID: 000000
    EMM: CaID: 0x09C4 -> CaPID: 0x033E ProvID: 000000
    *EMM: CaID: 0x1833 -> CaPID: 0x032B ProvID: 000000
    EMM: CaID: 0x1702 -> CaPID: 0x0263 ProvID: 000000

    and still i see in output directory /media/hdd/logy/ 0 byte long file emmlog.bin

    i have too dm8000 and use old dvbsnoop (dvbsnoopDM8000.zip) and this normal work .. i replaced new dnoop via this from dm8000 and see the same output 0 bytes

    Use the one included in the image. Then specify the device. Check which device is demuxing with:
    root@dm7080:~# dvbsnoop -devnr 0 -s signal
    cycle: 400 d_time: 0.001 s Sig: 13640 SNR: 3379 BER: 0 UBLK: 0 Stat: 0x1f [SIG CARR VIT SYNC LOCK ]
    cycle: 401 d_time: 0.001 s Sig: 13640 SNR: 3379 BER: 0 UBLK: 0 Stat: 0x1f [SIG CARR VIT SYNC LOCK ]
    cycle: 402 d_time: 0.001 s Sig: 13640 SNR: 3379 BER: 0 UBLK: 0 Stat: 0x1f [SIG CARR VIT SYNC LOCK ]
    cycle: 403 d_time: 0.001 s Sig: 13640 SNR: 3379 BER: 0 UBLK: 0 Stat: 0x1f [SIG CARR VIT SYNC LOCK ]
    cycle: 404 d_time: 0.001 s Sig: 13640 SNR: 3379 BER: 0 UBLK: 0 Stat: 0x1f [SIG CARR VIT SYNC LOCK ]

    So device 0 is ok !!

    root@dm7080:~# dvbsnoop -devnr 1 -s signal
    cycle: 11180 d_time: 0.001 s Sig: 617 SNR: 0 BER: 0 UBLK: 0 Stat: 0x21 [SIG TIMOUT ]
    cycle: 11181 d_time: 0.001 s Sig: 617 SNR: 0 BER: 0 UBLK: 0 Stat: 0x21 [SIG TIMOUT ]
    cycle: 11182 d_time: 0.001 s Sig: 617 SNR: 0 BER: 0 UBLK: 0 Stat: 0x21 [SIG TIMOUT ]

    Device 1 is NOT ok !!

    Once you find a device either adapter or frontend (0 usually) issue the log command:

    root@dm7080:~# dvbsnoop -devnr 0 -b -N 1000000 0x0780 > /media/hdd/emmlog.bin
