Cologne/Berlin (Germany), 5 November 2012 – In 2013, the international ANGA Cable Show will become ANGA COM – Exhibition and Congress for Broadband, Cable & Satellite. “COM” stands for “communication” and represents the two thematic pillars broadband and media.

Dr. Peter Charissé, Managing Director, ANGA: “Over the last few years, our event has developed into Europe’s leading business platform for broadband and content providers. In a focused manner we bring together network operators, vendors and broadcasters like no other event. Our product range covers broadband Internet, telephony and content distribution on a par. This is now more clearly reflected by our new appearance, which includes the slogan ‘Where Broadband meets Content’ incorporated in the new logo.”
The third day of the congress will be summarized under the heading “Connected Home Special“. This day is organized in cooperation with the BITKOM Association. BITKOM is the voice of the information technology, telecommunications and new media industry in Germany. BITKOM represents more than 1,700 companies including nearly all German global players of the ICT business.
“Over the last few years, ANGA Cable, now ANGA COM, has developed into one of the key industry meetings on the topic of broadband and digital content,” said Dr. Bernhard Rohleder, Director General, BITKOM. “With our ‘Connected Home Special’ we want to contribute to the event’s successful continued development and build an interesting platform dedicated to home networking.”
Dr. Peter Charissé: “We are honoured by this cooperation with the BITKOM and we expect it to result in an additional boost for our event. With our ‘Connected Home Special’ we aim to create a high-level B2B platform for the connected home, a key topic for the future.”
