    Upgrading the bootloader of your Dreambox one/two to enable DFU updates for bluetooth remotes

    To enable remote updates via the so called "DFU-Mode" on your Dreambox One/Two a new bootloader and frontprocessor firmware are required.

    This article will guide you through the required steps.


    ATTENTION: We suggest that only experienced users should execute the bootloader update at this time.

    If it fails a manual recovery process is required that would probably be VERY challenging for beginners without any dreambox and linux experience.


    Should you experience a bootloader loss, please contact us, we do have tools prepared to recover from such a state!

    Be careful and NEVER turn off the device during a running bootloader update.


    Requirements: Opendreambox 2.6 at the release state of enigma2 4.5.1r9




    To enable blutooth remote updates via the so called "DFU-Mode" on your dreambox one/two a new bootloader and frontprocessor firmware are required.

    At the time of releasing enigma2 4.5.1r9, the bootloader won't be updated automatically but only manually by using the console.



    Updating the bootloader is as simple as openeing a remote shell and executing the following command

    flash-fsbl

    After the command succeeded you can do the fp update with the following command.

    flash-nrf52 --program --verify --start

    Afterwards issue another console command to restart your box and finish the update

    reboot

    After rebooting, you should be offered the red "Update" button in "Settings > Devices > Bluetooth Remote Setup".

    Please be aware that a remote has to be paired to be eligible for updating

    In order to also control your TV with the dreambox bluetooth remote control go to menu> settings> peripherals> Bluetooth Remote Setup> green button (IR-Setup) choose your brand of TV and press OK to then try all the codes available up to find the right one!

    Um Bluetooth Remote-Updates über den sogenannten "DFU-Mode" auf Ihrer Dreambox One/Two zu aktivieren, wird ein neuer Bootloader und eine neue Frontprozessor-Firmware benötigt.

    Dieser Artikel führt Sie durch die erforderlichen Schritte.


    ACHTUNG: Wir empfehlen, das Bootloader-Update zu diesem Zeitpunkt nur erfahrenen Benutzern durchzuführen.

    Wenn es fehlschlägt, ist ein manueller Wiederherstellungsprozess erforderlich, der für Anfänger ohne Dreambox- und Linux-Erfahrung wahrscheinlich SEHR herausfordernd wäre.


    Sollten Sie einen Bootloader-Verlust haben, kontaktieren Sie uns bitte, wir haben Tools bereit, um sich von einem solchen Zustand zu erholen!

    Seien Sie vorsichtig und schalten Sie das Gerät NIEMALS während eines laufenden Bootloader-Updates aus.


    Voraussetzungen: Opendreambox 2.6 im Releasestand von enigma2 4.5.1r9



    Das Aktualisieren des Bootloaders ist so einfach wie das Öffnen einer Remote-Shell und das Ausführen des folgenden Befehls

    Um den Frontprozessor zu aktualisieren führen sie folgenden Befehl aus

    flash-nrf52 --program --verify --start


    Geben Sie anschließend einen weiteren Konsolenbefehl ein, um Ihre Box neu zu starten und das Update abzuschließen.

    Nach dem Neustart sollte Ihnen die rote Schaltfläche „Aktualisieren“ in „Einstellungen Geräte Bluetooth Remote Setup“ angeboten werden.

    Bitte beachten Sie, dass eine Fernbedienung gekoppelt werden muss, um zur Aktualisierung berechtigt zu sein

    Dreambox Bluetooth-Fernbedienung programmieren



    Um Ihren Fernseher mit der Dreambox Bluetooth-Fernbedienung steuern zu können, gehen Sie zu Menü> Einstellungen> Peripheriegeräte> Bluetooth-Fernbedienung> grüne Taste (IR-Setup) wählen Sie Ihre TV-Marke und drücken Sie OK, um dann alle verfügbaren Codes bis zu auszuprobieren finde das richtige!

    Per abilitare gli aggiornamenti remoti bluetooth tramite la cosiddetta "Modalità DFU" sul dreambox one/two sono necessari un nuovo bootloader e firmware frontprocessor.

    Questo articolo ti guiderà attraverso i passaggi richiesti.


    ATTENZIONE: suggeriamo che solo gli utenti esperti dovrebbero eseguire l'aggiornamento del bootloader in questo momento.

    Se fallisce, è necessario un processo di ripristino manuale che probabilmente sarebbe MOLTO impegnativo per i principianti senza esperienza con Dreambox e Linux.


    Se dovessi riscontrare una perdita del bootloader, ti preghiamo di contattarci, abbiamo strumenti pronti per recuperare da tale stato!

    Fare attenzione e non spegnere MAI il dispositivo durante un aggiornamento del bootloader in esecuzione.

    Per abilitare gli aggiornamenti remoti blutooth tramite la cosiddetta "modalità DFU" sul dreambox one/two sono necessari un nuovo bootloader e firmware frontprocessor.

    Al momento del rilascio di enigma2 4.5.1r9, il bootloader non verrà aggiornato automaticamente ma solo manualmente utilizzando la console.


    L'aggiornamento del bootloader è semplice come aprire una shell remota ed eseguire il seguente comando

    Dopo che il comando è riuscito, puoi eseguire l'aggiornamento di fp con il seguente comando.

    Successivamente emetti un altro comando della console per riavviare la tua casella e completare l'aggiornamento.

    Dopo il riavvio, dovrebbe essere visualizzato il pulsante rosso "Aggiorna" in 'Impostazioni Dispositivi Bluetooth Remote Setup'.

    Si prega di notare che un telecomando deve essere accoppiato per essere idoneo per l'aggiornamento

    Per poter comandare anche la tua TV con il telecomando dreambox bluetooth andare in menu'>impostazioni>periferiche>Bluetooth Remote Setup>tasto verde (IR-Setup)scegliere la propria marca di TV e premere OK a seguire provare tutti i codici disponibili fino a trovare quello giusto!
